  I bought a vac that looks exactly the same, just from a different seller, for our new Honda Odyssey. The thing went to the trash next week - it’s not powerful at all, doesn’t pick up any liquids, and gets clogged right away even with the Cheerios. We have a young child and Cheerios and other baby foods are the main things that need to be picked up in the car. I ended up picking it up all by hand AND cleaning the vac. The bottom line - don’t waste your money with this junk and buy a decent one!

  This vacuum cleaner is okay for some things but not for everything. I bought it mainly to clean my PC. When I discovered that the suction wasn’t strong enough to clean as deeply as I liked, I decided to use it to pick up lint and dust. It does that well. It also picks up hair and crumbs. If you want to do a deep cleaning of your computer though, forget it. It will pick up surface dirt but not much underneath. It works good for things that are small and easy to get at, and for the price—you just can’t beat it!

  The fact that it is as loud as an airplane jet is something I accept because it is a commercial model. But its design somehow misses the mark a bit because that doesn’t exactly translate to the best rug agitation and suction compared to my old Kenmore canister that we used for about 7 years. It also comes with a very cool looking attachment - a mini agitator that spins with the power of the suction. Unfortunately, it stops spinning when ever it touches a surface. So the fancy attachment is worth nothing. The reason I don’t give this 3 stars is that overall, it is a heavy-duty and rugged appliance. I also like the bagless feature and rather large HEPA filter it comes with. We figure if we vacuum more often, we won’t notice the dog-hairs missed when we only do it once a week. I also plan on getting a backpack vacuum to do the rest of the house’s hardwood floors so this wasn’t such a critical purchase. I would say, keep looking and perhaps pay a little more for better agitation and suction.

  I owned many vacuums over 30 years and this one is the best. It is self-propelled and the suction factor is excellent. Highly recommend it!

  I was about to rip out all my dingy carpeting and install tile but after using this Hoover SteamVac on all my floors they look so new and clean I’m going to keep the carpeting! This unit really works! I copied a formula for home-made carpet shampoo off the internet and it works wonders.
  Great product at a great price!

  This is a great carpet cleaner. I cleaned carpets as a youngster and was very surprised at how easy it cleaned. Also pulls around 60% of the water out. My carpets were dry in 6 to 8 hours. If I had of known how easy it was I would have purchased one years ago. Attachments work great for cleaning steps and upolstery. Easy assembly. No problems with leaking or spot cleaning valve as others write about. (follow directions)

  I ordered this shampooer earlier this month. So far I have shampooed 4 bedrooms, hallways, living room, dining room. Wow. It has done an incredible job and is so easy to use. I read numerous reviews before I decided to give this one a shot. A few people complained about the need to empty the tank often. Having used other machines in the past, I found this machine to be very reasonable. In fact, it is sucking up the majority of the water deposited which means faster drying time. That’s a huge plus for me! If you need a great cleaning machine, look no further. This is a great product for a great price!

  Having two elderly dogs can make carpet maintenance a challenge. After years of renting bulky “commercial” style cleaners, I decided to buy this Hoover. It works better than I could’ve imagined. It’s easy to use once you learn how, and it cleans impressively. The vigorous agitation makes quick work of stains and the suction power is amazing - an impressive fraction of the water is reclaimed. The Hoover cleaning solution works quite well compared to others I’ve used. Highly recommended.

  We researched several different carpet cleaners before purchasing this Hoover from Amazon.com. We made the right choice! We have several different carpet styles in our home from plush to berber and it did an amazing job cleaning all types of carpet. We also used it on upholstered furniture and it did an equally good job on the furniture. It extracted most of the water from the carpets and they were dry to the touch in about two hours. The dirty water tank did have to be emptied and the clean water tank filled, frequently. Both of those tasks are easy to accomplish with this cleaner.

  There were only two drawbacks to the cleaner we have found so far. Any unused detergent left in the soap container must be removed when you are done using the cleaner. If left in the cleaner it finds its way into the clean water tank. If that happens you have to clean the clean water tank prior to the next use so that you don’t have soapy water in with your rinse water. The other drawback is the power hand brush that came with the cleaner. The brushes really do not have enough power. Even the slightest pressure on the hand brush attachment stops the brushes from rotating.

  Finally, kudos to Amazon for the fast shipping. We ordered the cleaner on a Sunday night, used Free Super Saver and had it two days later.

  Very easy to assemble. Did an excellent job cleaning carpets. My daughter no longer is telling me I need to replace my 20 year old carpet. It is light beige and looks like new. This cleaner has done a better job than professional cleaners I have had come in. Both my son & daughter plan on purchasing this cleaner. I especially like being able to rinse the soap out of the carpet. It keeps the carpet clean much longer.
