  I bought this vacuum for three things: price, power and weight. This little power machine is terrific! More than meets my expectations.

  I’d like to add my vote to all of the positive reviews and features; this is a lightweight, powerful and *inexpensive* unit that has replaced my $400 Kenmore (mainly because of the weight). Also I think it’s fairly quiet, at least relatively speaking. Panasonic wins again!

  On the other hand the cord length is a disappointment. I guess 17′ is less than I’m used to. I have to change outlets quite a bit. Please consider that before you buy!

  This vacuum is just as described and fulfills my requirements. For a small house with wood floors and stairs, it is perfect.

  We bought this vacuum to use on one specific job in our cleaning business. They have a lot of ceramic type tile that needs to be cleaned and mopped regularly. The rotating brush works great and suction on this unit is very good. It really makes cleaning a hard floor thorough and quick. We liked it so much that we got another to use on oriental rugs. If rugs are the really thing they are very expensive and you want to be gentle with them. The rotating bristles on the head are soft and do not rotate extremely fast. For cleaning a lot of regular carpet, this vacuum would be a bad choice but it’s great for what it’s made for!

  I chose the Panasonic MC-CG467 for cleaning our thick carpets in our new apartment. We used to only have wooden floors and our old vacuum cleaner was too big for our small apartment. I wanted a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction power on thick carpet, especially to remove cat hair. I am happy to say that after using it for a few weeks, it works perfectly on thick carpet as well as the kitchen and bathroom floors. Great choice for a small space! The only downside for me is that the vacuum cleaning bag is quite small and has to be replaced more often than I would prefer.

  This is a handy, small but mighty. I use it everywhere that my bug vacuum can’t go.

  I can only give this a 3. Tools are to small-the motor has a w h i n e to it that drives me nuts! The motor also seems to get very hot–maybe I got a dud and just don’t know it. The hoses are stiff-no flexibility at all. I do like a canister vacuum though as opposed to an upright-at least this one follows me around and doesn’t knock me out when I pull it along. All in all it is an OK product but they could have done a much better job with the design–you must wrap the cord on the bottom for storage-not a useful feature at all–does it work ok? Sure it does. Should you buy it? Only if you don’t mind all the above draw backs.

  If you have to choose a light, efficient, good price and easy handler this canister vacuum is a great solution! It is noisy, but it works very good. Very good power. I did not give 5 stars because noise, but it is a great product.

  This product is okay…don’t expect much from the vacuum…it serves simple purposes and thats about it!

  I’ve had one of these for a couple of months and so far, so good. It is loud but tolerable. I think the bags are easy to change — as with most vacuums, I recommend not waiting until a bag is overfull or things get messy. The long hose is good for reaching under things but makes it a bit of a pain to store. I think the plastic it is made of is a bit cheap and I wonder if it will hold up over time. I didn’t want to spend a lot though and think it’s a good product for the price.

  Powerhead spinning brush wore out within 3 months, due to construction made of plastic parts, where metal parts should have been. If you buy this vacuum, expect lots of regular repairs. Even the Electrolux repair facilities who repaired it acknowledged this was a piece of crap.

  We bought this vacuum just 5 months ago and it’s already falling apart. Where the motorized brush head connects to the rest of the vacuum broke. To fix it the whole brush head needs to be replaced. Just a couple of weeks after purchasing the vacuum, the attachment holder caught on a corner and part of it snapped off. Aside from the vacuum breaking, the motorized brush head doesn’t suck all the dirt from our carpet. I think the brush spins so quickly that it kicks the dirt/debris right out. If I stand behind the motorized brush head, the debris hits my ankles as it flings out of the head. Keep in mind, our carpets are not very dirty b/c we don’t wear our shoes in the house and we vacuum at least a couple of times a week. FYI - we had our last vacuum, a Kenmore, for 8 years without many problems. We’re going to try returning this vacuum and then heading to Sears to purchase a Kenmore.

  Have had previous versions due to its great suction/cleaning. Have 2 dogs and 2 todlers/babies, with one of them alergic to dog hair, thus need great cleaning. This provides. Prior versions had issues with durability in the hose connections and had replaced several times due to wearing out as you disconnect and reconnect often for using tools. This one has a telescoping wand with a singular release and seems much more durable in the above problem area. Only negative is that it lost a feture where you could turn down the suction by letting other air in and without this it makes doing things like drapes or small rugs much harder.

  This vac was recommended by our allergist, but after reading some of the user reviews I was a bit reluctant to buy it. I have to say that after 3.5 months I am extremely pleased with this unit. This thing has incredible suction…the first time I used it I think I filled the bag almost halfway and this was less than a week after vacuuming with the old machine. Also, despite the power, this vacuum is pretty quiet. I have no complaints at all with the performance, nor have I had any problems with it. Everything is still good as new. I love that it’s easy to connect/disconnect the parts. I do have a couple very small gripes. The first one is that the power head could sound better. It works great, but the outer shell vibrates and makes it sound cheap. My other complaint is that the attachments on the handle will not stay attached. Their location is great, but since they fall off constantly it defeats the whole purpose of having the stored there. Still, the performance of this vacuum more than makes up for those two gripes and I highly recommend it. And yes, this vac really filters the air well. I am using the Clinic bags and I’m not at all afraid to get my face down by the exhaust and breath the air.

  I did a lot of homework before deciding to buy this bad boy. I am not a vacuum expert nor do I really vacuum. I bought this as a Mother’s Day gift for mama-dukes. Well, what I heard from her was that this was by far the best vacuum she had ever used, and not simply because I bought it for her for Mother’s Day. This thing is very quiet compared to any vacuum I’ve ever heard in our house. I don’t even hear it when I am in a different room. It is so quiet that it deceivingly feels a little weak. But it is ANYTHING but weak.. specially when you turn on the spinning motor thingie (it gets a little louder with that on, but not so bad.) MY GOD, this thing sucks up EVERYTHING! Not in a bad way where it destroys your carpets or eats your cat, but in a good way that it really digs up dirt in between the carpet and makes vacuuming a joy and extremely effortless. Oh and if you were wondering how it punched my mom in the face.. well, while she was vacuuming under my bed, she bent down for a second to get something and the vacuum spinner thing was on and it sucked up her hair, lifted up off the floor and smacked right into her face. The funny(?) thing was, she couldn’t reach the off switch on the handle to turn off the motor! We all had a good laugh about it and she had a bloody lower lip for about a week. My poor mom. She has a great sense of humor though.. she laughs every time she tells the story. Anyway, GREAT vacuum.. buy one!

  Just took delivery on this one amazing vacuum cleaner, Assembly took about 15 minutes and once plugged in I have found this appliance simply a pleasure to use.
  1 - QUIET is all you hear,for a moment I wasn’t sure it was turned on!
  2 - Suction power is terrific, turn down the power or you’ll suck up your nearest pet! It is not advertised as the perfect rug cleaner but if you have area rugs like I do it works like a dream.
  3 - Filtration system is great.You know that annoying smell that eminates from vacuum cleaners? Kinda of defeats the purpose of why you are cleaning isn’t it? Well all that comes out of the exhaust from this machine is clean fresh air!
  Only puzzle was the upholstry tool, at first I thought it was left out of the packaging but all it was is a simple device that folds out from the dusting attachment.
  I know I just purchased this and maybe I’ll update this review later on but for now I say BUY THIS and you’ll be happy you did.

  Wonderfully quiet; pets don’t run from,great on hardwood floors or carpet w/ with a lower nap such as a Berber HOWEVER very difficult to push on regular carpeting. Leaves little “clumps” after doing it a few minutes that require you to remove attachment and suck up with the wand. Half my house is hardwood, works wonderfully there, but in bedrooms with more plush carpet very difficult to push. Have owned for 6 months now. Will be replacing this one soon; will give to my daughter for use in her college suite, which is a rather expensive vacuum for a dorm, but this makes it too difficult to use for my shoulder.

  OK, in the interest of disclosure, I must tell all of you that “I am not normal”. I have a vacuum fetish. (I also have relatively little carpeting).

  Perhaps not a fetish exactly; more like an obsession. At one point in my life, I owned 12 (seriously: Roomba, Royal hand vac, uprights, cordless, Dyson (blech)…). It was part of my seemingly never-ending search for the vacuum of my dreams - the type of vacuum that would fill my cleaning days with thoughts of clouds, world peace and newborn kittens.

  The Electrolux Harmony provides none of that, of course, but what it does provide is the best vacuum “experience” I’ve ever had.

  When you remove the product from the box, you are struck with the attractiveness of the unit. Yes, it is a good-looking piece of machinery. I removed each piece, picked up the “Quick Start Guide” and had the whole thing assembled in 3 minutes, tops. Now for the acid test.

  I plugged it in, pressed the button and SERIOUSLY? This vacuum is incredibly quiet. My previous favorite sounded like a jet plane on take-off, this one sounds like a 1976 Cadillac cruising on a glass-smooth freeway. Honestly, it really is amazingly quiet. The gentle sound of the air moving into the nozzle overwhelms the sound of the motor - and that is just fine by me. Even my cat didn’t run! It’s rather soothing, actually.

  Cleaning performance and handling are first rate. Excellent edge suction and wonderful maneuverability. The canister glides on its wheels. And, the cord extends with you - none of that pulling the cord out before you vacuum stuff. Just plug it in and start vacuuming…you don’t have to fight with the Harmony, just lead it like a willing dance partner.

  If this were a perfect world, and money were no object, I guess my only “wish” would be for an old school woven-fabric over coil hose. I just don’t like the feel of plastic hoses, even though they weigh nothing, relatively. Also, I would have liked a slightly more robust horsehair brush. Maybe Electrolux could offer an upgrade for people who are into those sorts of things?

  In any event, I (obviously) couldn’t be any more pleased. This vacuum is terrific - I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t be thrilled with the Electrolux Harmony.

  In researching vacuums, I realize there is a lot out there. To wade through it all, I set a price limit, determined I wanted a canister and good HEPA filtration. I LOVE THE HARMONY. Small, light, quiet, powerful, tools w/in easy reach…My son fights me to vaccum! I look forward to vaccuming!! My 10 mo. old sleeps through the vaccuming!!!
