I purchased the older edition of this vacuum over 5 years ago. It is still going strong. We have a combination of hardwood and carpeting through the house. It gets everything very clean. You have to make sure to put the vacuum on the lowest height setting for hardwood floors. Anything else and it’ll kick the dirt back at you rather than sucking it up. I do the regular maintenance on it (washing the filters, plastic parts, etc), it’s not that much of a hassle.
I bought this because we had dogs and I had to vacuum a lot. I didn’t want to waste the money and contribute to the landfills with a bag. The bag type we had previously seemed to blow the dog smell around the house rather than eliminating it. The ability to wash the parts and filters on this one substantially reduced the pet smell. Since our dogs have passed, I’ve decided to buy a new hepa filter for it. I’d actually washed it out along with the others and placed it in the sun to dry for sometime, but it’s time for a new filter.
It is a little loud, though not anywhere close to a shop vac. It is lightweight and easily maneuverable. For the price, I highly recommend it. The reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars are the loudness, and the maintenance requirements (though I imagine you’d have that with most vacuums).

Sent without packaging, but looks like the real thing. Works fine and best price around.

My upright vac was beginning to blow some foul odors. When I removed the old filter it was dirty and brown. Time to replace the post-motor HEPA filter.
The new Filter arrived in good condition and was a genuine Bissell. The filter is sturdy and should last a while.
Before replacing the HEPA filter, I cleaned the air outlet with a sanitizing wipe. A quick change and the vac is as good as new.
Be sure to clean the other two “sponge type” filters (if your vac has them) for peak performance.

Filters came as advertised. They work well and fit perfectly in our Bissell bagless vacuum cleaner.

This item works fantastically. I have a North American Grey Wolf who hates to go outside. She has an extremely thick heavy coat, with a long outer coat, and a fine soft under coat. Living in Tx, she sheds constantly… Year round… Never stops.
This vaccuum is the best I have ever had. Picks up all the hair like a champ. I almost forgot the color of my carpet until I got this vaccuum. Debris container is a little small, the cord storage wrap hooks could be further apart (requiring less wrapping), but that is just nitpicking. As a whole this item works perfectly. I’ve had it for several months and it still works just like the day I got it. Picks up dirt you can’t even see. When this one dies, I will defenitely be getting another one just like it. (if it is still available, and I hope it is.) If you have a lot of pet hair to get up…no worries…this is the one.

I purchased this vaccum hoping that it would make my rugs much better since at the time I had to literally place sheets over my rugs of embarrasing pet hair. My other one just wasn’t doing it. I even borrowed the woman’s one across the street and it picked up some of the pet hair and that was maybe vaccuming after 15 minutes. The moment I open my new pet hair remover vaccum I was amazed at what it did. In about one minute my rug was all free of pet hair and my rug was looking new again. I threw the sheets out that once covered my rug and now my pets can lay on the rug and I can clean it with little or no ease at all. This machine is wonderful for any pet owner. I would recommend it to anyone with pets. it also works great on my sofa….
