The Metropolitan Vacuum could suck the stripes off a zebra….great product….and great customer relations from this family run business. I appreciated their humble apology when they apologized for AUTOSUPERMART’s rude customer relations. (see below)

DO NOT pruchase from AUTOSUPERMART. I had to work with them via phone and have never been so poorly, disrespectfully , rudely treated in a sales/customer relationship ever. Give [...] a try…..it HAS to be better than AUTOSUPERMART. The help desk at Autosupermart was curt and only used one word answers and responses when I was trying to understand how to get a return lable. He hung up on me. I had to call them 4 times to get a return lable. When the Manager (Bill) learned of the poor communication I recieved at the help desk, HE TOO was out-of-line justifying the unprofessional, punk, rude kid (Jason) who worked the help desk. Bill didn’t listen to the truth, but rather told me I was wrong and a liar. Never did Autosupermart us words like, Please, Im sorry , Thank you. I will not soon forget this stupifying expierience. I am still befuddled by these people. Again, Try [...].

We’ve had this for a year. It cleans carpets and upholstery very well, floors/bare stairs not well. We don’t use the accessories because the cheap attachment tabs broke off on first use. Overall, it is a poorly engineered product. The on-off switch is difficult to operate; the lid at the back for emptying is very difficult to open; the filter housing is extremely difficult to remove.
I am sure there are equivalent machines that also clean well but are not completely aggravating to use.

Very easy to assemble. Did an excellent job cleaning carpets. My daughter no longer is telling me I need to replace my 20 year old carpet. It is light beige and looks like new. This cleaner has done a better job than professional cleaners I have had come in. Both my son & daughter plan on purchasing this cleaner. I especially like being able to rinse the soap out of the carpet. It keeps the carpet clean much longer.

I purchased the older edition of this vacuum over 5 years ago. It is still going strong. We have a combination of hardwood and carpeting through the house. It gets everything very clean. You have to make sure to put the vacuum on the lowest height setting for hardwood floors. Anything else and it’ll kick the dirt back at you rather than sucking it up. I do the regular maintenance on it (washing the filters, plastic parts, etc), it’s not that much of a hassle.
I bought this because we had dogs and I had to vacuum a lot. I didn’t want to waste the money and contribute to the landfills with a bag. The bag type we had previously seemed to blow the dog smell around the house rather than eliminating it. The ability to wash the parts and filters on this one substantially reduced the pet smell. Since our dogs have passed, I’ve decided to buy a new hepa filter for it. I’d actually washed it out along with the others and placed it in the sun to dry for sometime, but it’s time for a new filter.
It is a little loud, though not anywhere close to a shop vac. It is lightweight and easily maneuverable. For the price, I highly recommend it. The reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars are the loudness, and the maintenance requirements (though I imagine you’d have that with most vacuums).

Allergies, along with issues from the four pets, created a significant breathing problem. Someone suggested this purchase, and I was skeptical but was in desperate need of relief. An air purifier has made all the difference in my ability to breathe. I only have one for the bedroom, but will get one in the future for the downstairs, too. The company I used to order, Best Filters, was also quite accommodating. Austin sent the wrong color, but BF corrected the problem immediately (within two hours of my email) arranging for the correct color, and then easy pick up of the other unit. I would highly recommend both!

This vacuum is very loud and does not work. The accessory attachment holder broke within the first month. We had a Hoover for about 15 yrs and it worked great. Pardon the pun but this vacuum sucks and not in a good way.

A little dynamo. It’s powerful, but it won’t exactly suck the chrome off a trailer hitch (to coin someone else’s phrase). Very light weight. Rolls really well. I have 2 complaints: You have to stoop down to turn it on, and the power carpet nozzle is too high to fit under my sofa. But, overall I am pleased. Good value for the money. Sleek, looks like a little rocket on wheels! Best of all it is AMERICAN MADE!!!
